Mediation 101: Back to the Basics is exactly that.
This program has been designed in conjunction with and to complement the
40-hour Civil and Family Court Mediation Training programs and is directed to
both attorneys and experienced mediators. The program is led by Bruce Poore,
Joy Bennett, Tiffany Provence, Mary Bryan, and Karl Folkens – all of whom are
experienced mediators and mediation trainers. They will provide you with
practical instruction that will enable you to be more effective as mediators or
attorney counselors in the mediation process.
The second half of the day is divided into two main
segments, The Limbic Shift Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 focuses on the attorney’s
role at mediation, which we all know is a bit different from the attorney’s
role at trial. Mediation might be your new best friend. Part 2 is
dedicated to the art of client preparation and provides you with a ton of
practical tips.
