Friday, February 18, 2022The seminar will explore current issues that face the nursing home litigator in South Carolina. Topics to be covered include alternative dispute resolution, effective strategies for negotiation and maximizing damages at mediation as well as arbitration in the nursing home context including arguments made by both plaintiff and defense and considers the pros and cons of engaging in arbitration. Experienced nursing home litigators will engage in a panel discussion of emerging issues in litigation including COVID defenses, Medicare and other liens, and shifting ownership in nursing home companies.
This timely program also features a presentation by Stuart Mauney, one of South Carolina’s leading authorities on lawyer mental health and wellness. In addition, we are pleased to offer an entertaining and challenging ethics presentation by the “CLE Entertainer,” Stuart Teicher.
This seminar is an intermediate level program.
This program qualifies for 6.0 MCLE credit hours, including up to 1.0 SA.MH and 1.0 LEPR credit hours.
