29th Annual Criminal Practice in SC
Tags: Criminal
The 29th Annual Criminal Practice in South Carolina seminar is back and better than ever. Course Planner Amie Clifford has again assembled a diverse and outstanding faculty that includes members of the judiciary and legislature, along with solicitors and prosecutors, public defenders, appellate defenders, agency attorneys and private practitioners. This important program features updates on case law and legislation, and presentations on legislative initiatives, and expungement law and strategy. In addition, the afternoon block features a deep dive into various aspects of collateral consequences, including immigration, professional licensing, gun ownership, employment, education, voting, housing, and public assistance. Finally, there will be a full hour of LEPR credit focusing on “hot” ethics issues in criminal practice, as well as a full hour on self-care for lawyers that will provide Substance Abuse/Mental Health credit (now separate from the ethics requirement).
If you are looking for a practical criminal law program with substantive materials, insights on recent cases and legislation, a comprehensive discussion of collateral consequences - all taught by a truly outstanding faculty, then the 29th Annual Criminal Practice in South Carolina CLE program from the South Carolina Bar-CLE Division is the seminar for you!
