The SC Bar Trial & Appellate Advocacy Section Council has partnered with the SC Bar CLE Division for "Appellate Advocacy Workshop: Oral Argument," This program is a must for both trial and appellate attorneys as it will focus on how to prepare and present oral arguments, including framing issues, appellate strategy, and oral advocacy.
The workshop will present participants with the opportunity to learn about the effect of credibility on persuasion; argument etiquette; practical and strategic tips for preparing and delivering an oral argument; how to handle both a "cold" and "hot" bench, and what questions from the bench (or the lack thereof) may mean; whether and how oral argument impacts a Court's decision; and what effective oral advocacy is and requires.
Join us on November 18th at the UofSC School of Law, Karen Williams Courtroom. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
TAA Section members will receive a $25 registration discount, which is $5 more than the cost of the Section's annual dues. Join today and be eligible for the discount!
