Wednesday, April 26, 2023Golf is a game of strict rules but also one that highly values professionalism, collegiality, and sportsmanship. The SC Bar CLE Division is honored to partner with LexisNexis and the famed Quixote Club in Sumter, SC for a unique CLE golf event. Join SC Supreme Court Justice Buck James, SC Court of Appeals Chief Judge Bruce Williams and former ODC Director John Nichols for an hour of ethics that will draw practical ethical application from the game of golf to the practice of law. This presentation will not only keep you in the fairway, but also keep you out of the sand traps of ethical non-compliance! Following the one-hour CLE program, you'll enjoy a terrific lunch and cap the day off with an 18-hole Texas Shamble tournament on the Quixote Course - one of top new courses in South Carolina.
Don't miss this rare opportunity! Space is limited so register today!
This program qualifies for 1.0 MCLE credit hour, including up to 1.0 LEPR credit hour.
The Quixote Club - www.quixoteclub.com
Quixote Club is nestled in the heart of Sumter, South Carolina. Incorporated as Sumterville in 1845, the city has grown and prospered from its early beginnings as a plantation settlement. A keystone of this history is the Sunset Country Club, which opened in 1922. It was one of the oldest golf courses in the Santee region. Acquired in December 2019, Greg and Lewis Thompson, key investors, were eager to start a new generation beginning with Quixote Club. Designed by architect Jeff Harbison, he intentionally designed the clubhouse with the landscape in mind. Offering a backdrop to golf, the clubhouse works in tandem with the nature that surrounds it.
The South Carolina Bar is an accredited CLE provider in South Carolina only. Attorneys are responsible for seeking their own credit in other jurisdictions.
