Are You Thriving or Surviving: Keys to Law Practice Success featuring Doug Brown and Brana Williams

April 14, 2023

Featuring Doug Brown and Brana Williams

This special seminar offers practical guidance on how to transform your solo, small or medium-sized practice.  You'll learn effective and measurable ways to get control of your time, your hiring and talent retention, your staff oversight and ethical compliance, as well as your own mental and emotional well-being.  You'll gain valuable tools that will, if applied, help you become more satisfied, more profitable, and more competitive!

In our first session, Doug Brown will help you take control of your time and increase your productivity.  You'll take a self-assessment where you will identify your top time-management challenges and discover their time traps, followed by a roundtable Q&A based on their results, covering attitude, goal-setting, prioritizing, scheduling, managing interruptions, and delegating.  As a result, you'll learn how to manage your choices, align them with your values, and respond proactively to the demands of your practice.

Doug's second session will help you gain a competitive edge over larger firms by discovering 8 essential strategies to manage, retain, and recruit top legal talent for your small or mid-sized firm in a hybrid world.  You'll learn how to avoid common mistakes and set new lawyers up for success, increase output by at least 10% per attorney while working fewer hours, and apply engagement strategies for sustainable profits without burnout.

Brana Williams will lead the afternoon portion of our seminar.  Brana will provide you with insights on ethical marketing and help you create an internal office system that is both sustainable and rule-oriented so that whether you practice as a solo or delegate to key staff, you can be assured that proper ethical systems are in place to preserve the business that you've built.

Brana will also provide an hour of lawyer substance abuse/mental health insights dedicated to demonstrating how you can proactively protect your mental health and well-being by defining yourself as a practicing attorney and your practice in such a way that not only your mental health is maintained but also your practice is ethical and prospering.  You will learn how to create a stress-free process for attracting the right kinds of clients, help those clients become your biggest fans, and gain greater and greater satisfaction in the otherwise stress-filled world of practicing law. How can a lawyer be successful and sane?  Come to this program and find out!
