2024 Employment Law Practice Essentials
Join course planners Nekki Shutt and George Reeves, along with a distinguished faculty of employment law attorneys and Annie Day Bame, for an interactive and practical guide through key aspects of employment litigation.
This course is designed to provide step-by-step instruction for both new and experienced lawyers who represent plaintiffs and businesses in the challenging field of employment law. The program begins with a review and analysis of a typical employment dispute, followed by guidance on client intake and unemployment claims from both plaintiff and defense perspectives.
The course then covers potential involvement by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR), as well as the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission (SHAC) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), before moving on to discovery. Annie Day Bame will offer valuable judicial insights on employment litigation, and experienced mediator Frank Shuler will provide advice on effectively representing clients in mediation.
Whether you are a new employment attorney or looking for a refresher on key elements of employment litigation, this seminar is for you.
