Live Webinar: The Realities of Wellness in the Legal Profession
The concept of wellness has become trendy and idealized, but what does it actually mean and what does it look like in a profession plagued with high rates of dissatisfaction, substance abuse, and poor mental health outcomes for a large portion of members. This presentation is intended to help young lawyers identify potential areas that deserve attention and focus on their personal lives so they can maximize the satisfaction they get from their work, improve their productivity, and find a work life balance that serves them.
This program qualifies for 1.0 MCLE credit hour including up to 1.0 SA/MH credit hour. Commission on CLE Course # (for live Webinar): 243974ADO
This seminar is a basic to intermediate level program.
Darcy Compton practices with McAngus
Goudelock & Courie. Her practice focuses on workers’ compensation in the
firm’s Columbia office. “With each file I am assigned, I work diligently to
ensure I fulfill all roles necessary for each client according to their
specific needs and the facts of each case,” she says.
Prior to joining MGC, Darcy was a law clerk at the
Office of the Governor, House of Representatives: LCI Committee, Workers’
Compensation Commission and an in-house legal clerk at an investment company.
In her personal time, Darcy enjoys reading
mystery/thriller novels. She studied the intersection of the psychology and
legal fields while abroad at Warwick University in Coventry, England and finds
true-crime stories fascinating.
