About the Seminar
The South Carolina Bar CLE Division is pleased to present our annual Guardian ad Litem training and update.
Course Planner Jenny R. Stevens has recruited an experienced faculty of respected Judges and attorney Guardians who will provide authoritative guidance on key issues of concern to those who serve in this important role. This year's powerful and practical program features a judicial panel, insightful analysis of the Guardian's role in the appellate process, pointed instruction on evaluating family situations with an eye toward seeking the best interest of the child, help in drafting reports from a best interest standpoint, understanding the role of the GAL in TPR and adoption cases, and some practical advice on tools the GAL can use to effectively and efficiently investigate cases.
This important program has been accredited by the SC Supreme Court Commission on CLE and Specialization for 6.0 hours of MCLE and including up to 6.0 hours of GAL continuing legal education for lay and attorney guardians.
