About the Seminar
This program focuses on the legal and ethical issues surrounding medical liens in the context of a personal injury case. When resolving personal injury cases by way of settlement or verdict, attorneys are constantly faced with decisions regarding healthcare provider assignments, Medicare and Medicaid subrogation, and ERISA plans. These decisions on “who to pay?” raise concerns involving client relations, statutory compliance, and the Rules of Professional Conduct. We will provide some clarity of these issues for the personal injury practitioner.
