Ideal for those seeking quick reference and the convenience of digital accessibility. This is the digital download of the 2024 Edition. There is no physical book with this purchase option.
South Carolina Criminal Offenses and Penalties is the standard reference for criminal law practitioners in this State. The 2024 Edition includes all legislative changes through the 2023 legislative session and puts at your fingertips the statutory citations, sentences, and CDR codes for most South Carolina criminal offenses from A to Z.
The 2024 Edition contains all offenses in Title 16, all classified offenses, all offenses with a maximum penalty of one year or more, and other selected offenses that warranted inclusion. Consistent with previous editions, the book is divided into two main sections: the first part is organized by Code section and contains the crime, the CDR code, the type and class of the offense, the penalty, and any special sentencing considerations, while the second part lists offenses alphabetically and contains the CDR code with a cross-reference back to the Code section for details. This change was made to streamline the book for ease of use. Thanks to contributor Player Long, this new edition also now includes a one-page quick reference sheet for common drug offenses outlining the relevant statute, CDR code, and penalties.
If you are a criminal law practitioner in this State, this is the one essential resource you need in your office, during client meetings, and in the courtroom.
