The main volume, The South Carolina Consumer Protection Code, Fourth Edition, has legislative and regulatory changes through 2001, as well as providing analysis of legislation and Federal and State appellate cases interpreting the Code. The Fourth Edition has been updated with a 2021 Cumulative Supplement.
Between 2018 and 2021, the Department of Consumer Affairs issued new regulations under the Consumer Protection Code and amended others. The most recent addition in 2021 was Regulation 28-78 concerning the sale or lease of renewable energy facilities. Another addition was Regulation 28-55 on employees' revocable authorizations of deductions from earnings. Other regulatory changes amended administrative provisions, rules for filing and posting maximum rates, and adjustments of dollar amounts in various provisions of the statute. This 2021 cumulative supplement includes all of these recent changes and additions.
