About the Seminar
This advanced level program will begin with a presentation from EEOC Director of the Greenville office, Patricia Fuller on updates on the enforcement side of the EEOC. Patricia will make suggestions for attorneys in how to properly file and have their matters investigated. She will present on technological updates at the EEOC which will help to process claims faster. Drew Rogers will share tips and tricks for how to make the most use of an EEOC mediation.
The next
presentation will provide an update on navigating the new employment landscape
post 2020. They will take an in-depth look into the changes presented by a
truly unprecedented year. They will discuss how Covid-19, the Black Lives
Matter movement, and the 2020 Election have and will impact the workforce and
how employers should navigate these divisive issues. Jack Cohoon frequently
advises employees of their rights on the various issues and will present from
this perspective. Likewise, Kathy Helms, will address issues from the corporate
perspective, and Ashley Story will address the issues from her perspective in
representing school districts.
The last
presentation will feature Nekki Shutt, George Reeves, Sheila Willis, and
Deborah Barbier, who have all participated in what is a current rarity in
employment law: trials. They will present on lessons learned from recent
employment trials.
