About the Seminar
South Carolina recently put the country on notice that it is taking information security and cyber security seriously. The state has entered the race to be one of the first to legislatively address growing concerns and threats to private information. They have set the finish line at July 1, 2019, so we had better get in shape and start running. The statute requires licensees to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive information security program based upon your own risk assessment and to establish certain requirements for your information security program. The new statute also details reporting requirements in the event of a cyber breach. We will look at how these statutory requirements relate with the existing ALTA Best Practices and other sound cyber security principals, to put you in the best position to comply with these new requirements.
This seminar qualifies for 1.18 MCLE credit hours.
This is an Intermediate Level Program.
