About the Seminar
This program is for personal injury lawyers. It is common place for personal injury practitioners to deal with health insurance subrogation and repayment of claims directed against their clients' tort recovery. Most subrogation and reimbursement claims are subject to the complicated federal law of ERISA (the Employee Retirement and Income Security Act of 1974). This program explains the evolution of ERISA subrogation/repayment law so that the viewer will have a fundamental understanding of the current state of the law and how it came to be. The program also explains how a personal injury practitioner should handle a health insurer's subrogation and repayment claim so as to maximize the client's net recovery.
Speaker: Robert E. Hoskins
