During these challenging times, lawyers and mediators alike are wondering whether they should give up on doing mediations until the coronavirus threat is over or whether
acceptable alternatives exist.
We chose the latter and don't regret it. It sure beats sitting around for what looks like will be months doing very little.
Also, once this crisis is over, online dispute resolution will continue to offer opportunities for neutrals and litigators to have meaningful sessions when in-person meetings are not feasible.
This webinar is for mediators and litigators. We'll be exploring online mediations:
A. How to set them up;
B. Effectively present in open sessions;
C. Work in breakout rooms; and
D. Reach binding agreements.
We will also cover online security issues and concerns, including facts and myths
surrounding the use of Zoom Meetings in mediation, and recent directives from the South Carolina Supreme Court.
Based on our collective decades of experience and having mediated over 8,500 matters combined, we'll cover what we believe are the best practices, but also how we are each approaching some aspects of online dispute resolution differently from the other.
