This video presentation discusses the homestead exemption found in S.C. Code §15-41-30(A)(1)(a) and the surviving spouse homestead exemption of S.C. Code §15-41-30(A)(1)(b). The video also covers cases discussing the scope of the homestead exemption in state court and bankruptcy court and the interplay of bankruptcy and the homestead exemption. The cases addressing the crucial issue of whether someone intends to make a place, their homestead is discussed in detail.
