About the
Seminar
Wellness Hot
Tips contains 3 health educators, loads of information, and opportunities to
practice a wellness tip or two with the speakers and your colleagues. Lawyers tend to ignore their own needs while
placing their attention and time on the needs of their clients. Significant research indicates that this
tendency negatively affects their mental health, creating excess stress,
anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. When these disorders develop, it can become
challenging to follow rules of professional conduct.
The speakers in
this seminar will focus on science-based practices that can make it easier for
lawyers to fit self-care into their busy workdays, creating opportunities for
self-care to become a habit. Attendees
will learn to pay closer attention to their basic human needs and build new
relationships with time, their lives outside of lawyering, and with food.
