Please enjoy this special biennial CLE to be held at Wild Dunes Resort Sweetgrass Pavilion 5803 Palmetto Drive, Isle of Palms, SC. This intimate eight-hour workshop will provide a timely and interactive discussion of issues facing real estate practitioners today. As we visit this picturesque coastal location, our agenda will attempt to relate to the themes of the Broadway hit, Wicked, that has toured our state. So, if you have “brains, heart (or) courage” you need to join us at this seminar. It will make a great family trip!
On Friday, following a continental breakfast, Scott Barnes will discuss pertinent state and local tax issues. He will be followed by Bill Higgins discussing issues facing leasehold clients. Next on stage, Kathleen McDaniel will guide us through the various paths that must be walked in seeking zoning approvals. During lunch, we will hear from Jessie King on various environmental concerns.
Enjoy an afternoon on your own, and then, on Friday evening, take your family to an evening reception at Boardwalk Inn Pool South.
A very special segment is planned for Saturday morning following our continental breakfast. Weather permitting, we will enjoy a very “Popular” and rare field trip on the yellow brick road to the beach with Professor Josh Eagle who will help us understand some wicked beachfront management, base lines and setback lines. We will then hear from Josh Workman on understanding tax investment credits. Professor Medlin will close our tour with a discussion of ethical dilemmas that every real estate attorney needs to hear.
