Live Webcast: 2021 SC ABOTA Masters in Trial: The Art of Advocacy

February 05, 2021

South Carolina ABOTA Masters In Trial:  Pandemic Edition!
The motto for 2020 has been that COVID impacts everything we are doing and that holds true for the S.C. ABOTA Masters In Trial program.  Because the pandemic has prevented our chapter from presenting a live trial demonstration in front of a live jury, we are being flexible and will present an informative and creative trial skills program in a virtual environment.  S.C. Chapter of ABOTA is also partnering with Judge Joe Anderson in presenting this CLE.  The S.C. Bar has just republished his book Effective Courtroom Advocacy and Judge Anderson will be one of our featured speakers, sharing his wisdom from watching 34 years of jury trials from the federal bench.  Our speakers will walk through the essentials of a jury trial, from openings through closings, and present skills and tips from both the plaintiff and defense perspective.  District Court Judge Michelle Childs and Circuit Court Judge Robert Hood will also share their views on the ethics of trial from the bench.  This promises to be a creative and dynamic presentation with a dynamite line-up of speakers.  Each attendee will also receive a copy of Judge Anderson's book. Details about the book can be found here: https://cle.scbar.org/Book-Store/Info/productcd/781.

This seminar is an intermediate level program.
This program qualifies for 6.5 MCLE credit hours, including up to 1.0 LEPR credit hour.
