Designed as a complement to Justice John Few’s excellent
program on Advanced Evidence, this seminar is geared to be a refresher course
on the highly technical, sometimes counterintuitive, and— at times—difficult,
provisions of the Federal Rules of Evidence. Most lawyers master these rules
while in law school, successfully pass the bar, and then, in an era of
dwindling trials, find themselves becoming “rusty” on the application of the
Rules as they advance throughout their careers. The program is designed to
review, organize, and reinforce basic evidence law so that participants can
apply it with confidence in their next trial. A fresh look at classic evidence
law is sure to aid any attorney in
preparation for the few, but nevertheless important
cases that go to trial. Moderated by Senior United States District Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., the program features an impressive lineup of attorneys from across South Carolina who will discuss and illustrate the rules that are perhaps the most overlooked part of a common law trial.
This seminar is an basic to intermediate level program.
This program qualifies for 6.0 MCLE
