Thursday, October 17, 2024The South Carolina Bar Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Division is pleased to announce the 2024 Corporate/Transactional Law Essentials seminar. This introductory course is designed to help practitioners who are new to corporate practice and transactional law navigate the key processes and challenges in this specialized area.
Course planners Melissa Cassel and Will Umbach have assembled a knowledgeable faculty that will provide expert guidance in a relaxed and interactive setting. Participants will learn to assess and apply the law to practical scenarios in areas such as employment agreements and restrictive covenants, choice of entity, corporate and LLC formation, buy-sell agreements, securities, asset and stock purchase agreements, and contract review and drafting. Additionally, Bill Higgins' ethical role plays will spotlight crucial professionalism and ethical issues that can significantly impact your practice.
Whether you are new to the corporate/transactional field or seeking a comprehensive refresher on the most critical aspects of this complex area, this program is tailored for you.
This
seminar is a basic level program.

the faculty.

Columbia.
Programs
