Event Information

Aaron was born in the middle of seven children and after graduating high school in Oconee County, South Carolina, he attended Clemson University.  Upon his graduation from Clemson, Aaron moved to San Francisco, CA to work for an Inc. 500 company.

Shortly thereafter, he enrolled in the Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, NC where he befriended his future law and business partner, Kevin Molony. While in law school, Aaron completed a summer study abroad course in Galway, Ireland where he received instruction from the Honorable Chief Justice John Roberts of the U.S. Supreme Court.

After law school, Aaron returned to the Upstate and began his practice in Clemson where he focused on DUI and Criminal Defense before moving his practice to Greenville to build the practice around representing judgment creditors in the enforcement of their judgments.

After associating with his law school buddy Kevin on many successful judgment collection cases, the two decided to make it official and joined forces as Angell Molony, LLC nearly a decade ago.  In that span, the firm has also launched an asset search division that offers legal asset opinions for attorneys across the state and nationwide.  With offices in Aiken and Greenville, Angell Molony has earned the reputation as the go-to attorneys for Judgment Enforcement and Asset Searches.

When not practicing law, Aaron enjoys grilling, an occasional golf outing, vacationing in Edisto and Telluride, CO and spending time with his beautiful bride, Olivia and their five young children.  Aaron and his family reside in Greenville, SC and are active members of Second Presbyterian Church on the corner of River and Rhett streets in downtown Greenville.  

Donna Asta is a Vice President Senior Underwriter and Risk Management Leader of the Small & Mid-sized Lawyers program for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (S.C. Bar's Preferred Insurance Provider). Donna is responsible for providing assistance and resources to insureds by providing on-site CLE seminars, risk management programs, newsletters, articles and general risk management guidance. Donna also handled professional liability lawyer claims for 19 years.
Donna is a licensed attorney who, prior to commencing her insurance career, was an insurance defense attorney in Chicago. Donna is a graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
 

Josh Smith’s practice focuses on representing companies in business litigation and acting as outside general counsel for businesses of all kinds, from start-ups to large established entities. He has experience representing businesses throughout the marketplace, from tech companies to manufacturers, and product suppliers. Josh ensures that he understands a client’s business first so that he can provide informed, intelligent, and cost-effective solutions to their legal issues, whether they are in the courtroom or boardroom.

Josh’s practice areas include business litigation, trade secret and unfair competition cases, employment law, and appeals. He litigates in both state and federal court and handles a matter from the trial level through any appeal.

Outside the courtroom, Josh works with clients to implement strategies and practices to avoid litigation. He advises businesses and individuals on various employment, contract, and business-related matters and negotiates with potential adversaries to resolve disputes before they reach the courthouse.

His peers have deemed him one of the Upstate’s Legal Elite since Greenville Business Magazine established the award in 2012 in Environmental Law (2012-present), Business Litigation (2014-present), Labor and Employment (2014-present), and Government Law (2017-present). Josh is a Greenville native, a graduate of Clemson University and the USC School of Law. During law school Josh served as an editorial board member for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal and worked as a law clerk for the EPA and SCDHEC.

When not practicing law, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and whitewater kayaking throughout the region.

Josh is active in the local and legal community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Arts Council and the Julie Valentine Center and a member of the Haynsworth/Perry Inn of Court, an organization dedicated to civility in the bar.

Josh is an experienced litigator who has been in practice since 2006. Josh handles trustee litigation in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and represents corporate clients and lenders in disputes that involve breaches of contract and collections. He also represents individuals in real estate litigation, personal injury litigation, and general civil litigation. He is a South Carolina Bar certified circuit court mediator.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wofford College and earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was admitted into the Kentucky state bar in 2006 and the South Carolina state bar in 2012.

Josh has always been active in trade associations and civic boards. In addition to his activities with professional organizations, he is committed to the community in which he lives and works. When not in the office or courtroom, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and their three children, and rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats. He and his family are active members of Christ Church Episcopal.

Kevin grew up in Edgefield, SC before heading to Presbyterian College. While at PC, Kevin was a First-Team all-conference free safety for the football team. After graduating, Kevin attended the Charlotte School of Law.
While in law school, Kevin became instant friends with Aaron. During the summers in law school, Kevin clerked for the Solicitor's Office in both Georgetown and Horry Counties.
After law school, Kevin began his legal career as a judicial clerk for The Honorable William P. Keesley. Kevin then joined the Second Circuit Solicitor's Office as an assistant solicitor for Strom Thurmond, Jr. While at the Solicitor's Office, Kevin tried a wide array of cases, including violent crime and drug-related matters.
After spending close to five years prosecuting criminal cases, Kevin hung his own shingle and began handling judgment collections cases. Since that time, he and his old pal, Aaron, have joined forces on tracking down judgment debtors and providing unmatched legal asset opinions to attorneys across the state and nationwide.
When he isn't playing "lawyer", Kevin enjoys all things Gamecock related, playing golf, chasing white tails and mallards, playing baseball in the backyard with his boys and jamming out on his guitar during Sunday morning worship services at Cedar Creek Church.  Kevin resides in Aiken, SC with his wife, daughter and two sons.
 

Terry is a pastor's wife, nurse, and mother of five children. After graduating from Clemson University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Terry has acquired over thirty-five years of experience in clinical bedside nursing, as well as quality outcomes management and regulatory compliance preparedness. She was awarded "Excellence in the Practice of Hospital Nursing" by the South Carolina Hospital Association and was recognized for "Best Practice" in the conduction of clinical case review as a root cause analyst.
Terry is a board-certified Mental Health Coach, certified by The International Board of Christian Care (IBCC), a recognized segment of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is also credentialed as a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) USA instructor in both MHFA for Adults, as well as MHFA for Adults Who Are Assisting Children and Youth.

Harrison is the principal of Penn Law Firm, LLC in Columbia, South Carolina.  He is a certified specialist in Bankruptcy Law with the South Carolina Supreme Court, and a member of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.  Harrison previously served as the judicial law clerk to The Honorable David R. Duncan, for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina.  Harrison is a 2015 Leadership Columbia graduate and volunteers his time serving as guardian ad litem for special needs youth, and through programs such as the South Carolina Bar’s Pro Bono Program, Ask-a-Lawyer, and the South Carolina CARE (Credit Abuse Resistance Education) Program.

Zach is Weaver Law's founder and shareholder. Zach's practice focuses primarily on business, estate/trust, and real estate litigation. Zach has substantial experience collecting judgments through litigation and supplemental proceedings.
Zach has tried multiple civil cases to verdict in state and federal court, handled and argued appeals before the South Carolina Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and served as lead counsel in probate court and bankruptcy court for his clients. Zach has been involved in settlements and verdicts in cases totaling tens of millions of dollars.
Zach is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation and UCC Law. He is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and often recognized by peers as Legal Elite of the Upstate in multiple practice areas. In his spare time, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, overanalyzing his golf game, and keeping an '85 Jeep CJ-7 running.
