October 18, 2024

Live in person hours at SC Bar Conference Center, 1501 Park St, Columbia, SC 29201. Includes Satellite Sites see below for locations and addresses.

All attorneys interested in getting a view/insight into the litigation stages of a judgment from pre litigation asset review to getting a judgment entered to enforcing and litigation in state, bankruptcy and appellate court should attend this seminar!

Follow the path of collecting and enforcing a judgment in South Carolina.  Begin well before a judgment is ever entered with the process of assessing assets in pre-litigation then follow the process of what happens in the litigation side of enforcing the judgment from the time it’s entered through extensive technical litigation.  Continue gaining knowledge as the judgment enters Bankruptcy Court and even into the Appellate court for a glimpse into the manifold arenas a judgment can find itself.

Hear tips, tales, tricks and treats from real life practicing attorneys, each from their own unique vantage point from within their niche areas as they provide insight, observations, hopefully some humor, case updates, recent changes and lively perspective to encourage and endear our noble profession forward with this treat of a continuing education.  Gain valuable insights into this challenging practice area in addition to one hour of mental health and one hour of ethics.

  • Understand the Process of Judgment Enforcement in Multiple applications
  • Pre-Litigation – overview, assessment, tips and applications
  • Specific Litigation – enforcement of judgment via fraudulent conveyance, add’l process and additional interesting wrinkles
  • Bankruptcy – Litigation perspective from Chapter 7 trustee and how to protect creditors – updates on case law and issues from Small Business Bankruptcy
  • Appellate – Practice tips and updates along with pitfalls to delay Judgment creditors
