About the Seminar: Day 1 - Recorded 07/9/2020
The South Carolina State Guard is the oldest active military organization in South Carolina. When natural or man-made disasters occur in our state the South Carolina State Guard responds quickly to protect people and property and to assist with community recovery during the aftermath. The South Carolina State Guard and the South Carolina National Guard act in connection with law enforcement agencies and first responder organizations to mobilize resources and save lives during times of emergency.
South Carolina State Guard members are all volunteers who share a passion for service to their state and to the citizens of South Carolina. The members of the JAG detachment of the South Carolina State Guard have served front and center since 2014 to provide legal assistance and legal expertise to the South Carolina State Guard and its affiliates during natural disasters and in their aftermath.
Day one will feature attorneys of the State Guard JAG detachment, the South Carolina National Guard, the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission, and the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program.
