About the Program
The SC Bar Health Care Law Section, the SC Bar CLE Division and the SC Federal Bar Association Qui Tam Section are pleased to present a joint spring seminar focusing on federal False Claims Act (FCA) litigation and the health care industry. This seminar is designed to update you on emerging issues arising in the context of federal False Claims Act lawsuits involving health care industries including hospitals, hospices, pharmaceuticals, ambulance companies and laboratories. Panelists providing insight from the Government and Relators' perspective regarding FCA cases include the U.S. Attorney and Assistant U.S. Attorneys from the District of South Carolina, as well as seasoned Relators' counsel. Panelists providing insights from the Defense perspective regarding FCA cases include former U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys, as well as experienced FCA trial counsel. We are also pleased to have Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., U.S. District Judge for the District of South Carolina provide judicial insights on FCA litigation.
