Join Columbia attorney Jane Downey and SC Department of Consumer Affairs Administrator/Consumer Advocate Carri Grube Lybarker for a practical overview of the intersection of consumer protection and bankruptcy law.  Our experienced duo will explore actions that can be taken to avoid bankruptcy such as consumer credit counseling, licensing requirements, its effect on credit reports, and the difference between traditional credit counseling and bankruptcy counseling.  In addition, they discuss debt consolidation, loan modifications, and how bankruptcy can help your client and the ramifications of bankruptcy versus doing nothing.
